GROUP FITNESS

Group fitness classes are an excellent way to stay in shape and have fun.

Group classes offer such a wide variety of exercises incorporating many pieces of equipment to challenge your cardiovascular, strength, endurance, flexibility and balance fitness. Taking any of the many classes offered by our certified instructors will improve your mind and body awareness because the instructors put a great deal of emphasis on safe and effective body alignment and breathing techniques. This will teach you how to make the mind to muscle connection as well as motivate you to take your cardio fitness to the next level of intensity.

To determine the rate at which you should be working, during a cardio class you should take the "talk test". While working, you should be able to talk and feel winded, but not be able to sing. On a scale of 1-10, the "talk test" would feel as though you are working at a level of 5-8. This is your Perceived Exertion Scale. If you are working at a level that is too high for you, take down the bounce or keep your arms down at your sides and only do the leg movements. If you feel as though you are only at a 3 on the exertion scale and want to bump it up, put your arms up at shoulder level or overhead and add a little more bounce to the routine.

Group classes will keep variety in your routine. Our well trained instructors will help you stay motivated and be there for any questions you may have in reaching your fitness goals.

All of our instructors are certified through nationally recognized agencies such as NSFA and CanFit Pro
